Arr mateys! A cool pirate find!

Could it be? Did they really find Blackbeard's sword? Oh yeah, that must have been the sword Phineas Bogg lopped the blade off of in their fierce battle on the high seas! The description of this pirate sounds fearsome, but it also cracked me up. For you fan-fic writers out there, this could be a good plot bunny! Bogg meets Blackbeard!

An imposing figure to begin with, according to historians, Blackbeard cultivated a ferocious appearance to seem even more menacing: a long dark beard, numerous  knives, swords and pistols strapped to his chest -- even lighted fuses in his hair. (Bwahahaha!)

  1. Oh how I wish I could write fanfiction! A story about Bogg and Blackbeard would be fantastic!!! I hope one of our great writers will write one. That would have been a great way to start a new season if Voyagers could have lasted longer!! Thanks Ginger ! EmilyW.

  3. Sure, Emily! I was going to suggest that too. And you'll get good, honest help if you want it.It would have nice to see Bogg meet pirates from his past, considering he was such good friends with 'Captain Kidd, Bluebeard and Calico Jack!' roflol! Or so he claimed.

  4. Adding my encouragement somewhat belatedly, but everybody has to start somewhere. Let's be perfectly honest here - your first story is not going to be an award-winning masterpiece. What it can be, however, is a start. If you have a plot idea, and you have the characters in your head, let them lead you in the rest. The first battle is good grammar and punctuation, which doesn't seem to be an issue for anybody around here. The second is being sure that the plot makes sense!

Give it a go. The worst you can do is find out that it's not something you enjoy.

  5. I agree with you Swordz, 1st even 2nd and third if you go that far. I must have re-edited my stories from the beginning at least 5 times in the last 4 years. I just completed the last one. I'm done. You realize as you go along you make improvements and it shows. Sometimes no matter how many times you edit a story, especially the first-it still has that first story quality.
